Enode increases API coverage for energy innovators in the USA
Our team has been working hard over the last quarter to increase Enode’s API coverage in the USA. The result? Our North American customers can now instantly connect to and access real-time data from even more EVs and DERs.
Market leaders in the USA are already taking advantage of our increased API functionality to unlock new use cases, and ship truly customer-centric energy management experiences. We’re excited to share their progress with you as soon as we can – but in the meantime, we wanted to give you a look under the hood at what we’ve been working on.
Support for more EV brands
First and foremost, we’ve added support for six more EV brands, including:
- Chevrolet
- VW ID
- Hyundai
- Kia
- Landrover
With these new additions, energy innovators in the US can now integrate with 15 EV brands through a single API. It saves engineering time and costs, simplifies system architecture, and makes EV management apps more scalable.
No other API provider supports managed charging for more EV brands in the US than Enode. Check out the full list of EV brands we support here.
Support for more DERs
It’s not just EVs: we’ve also been working hard to add API support for a wider range of DERs. Now, Enode customers in the US can leverage our API to connect their customers’ HVACs, home batteries and smart meters to their apps.
We’re particularly pleased to be able to offer HVAC connectivity. We know there’s huge potential to leverage HVACs in Demand Response programs in the US – as well as optimizing air conditioning in times of extreme heat.
